Dragon fruits are one of Vietnam’s top exported fruits, mainly produced in the Mekong Delta region, the biggest agricultural regions in the country. The harvest season ranges from June to March, nearly year-round. Vietnam is currently the biggest worldwide producer of the fruits, with the highest market shares in Asia and Europe. Red and white fleshed-dragon fruits are mainly produced in Vietnam and Thailand while purple and yellow fleshed-fruits are mainly produced in Latin American countries such as Ecuador, as well as Israel (purple).
